Maryland has been focusing on the reduction of electric demand in the state due to ongoing climate change initiatives. In Maryland we have many non-renewable sources, providing most of our power (coal fire power plants, natural gas facilities, etc.) However, to meet the climate change goals that Maryland has set, we will be transitioning to renewable resources.
