Medicare Managed Care: Did you know that a proposed rule is pending that improves the Medicare+Choice (M+C) appeal and grievance procedures, including giving M+C enrollees advance written notice of termination of coverage for certain types of services that were previously authorized, and a fast-track process for appealing such decisions? The services requiring notice prior to termination of coverage include services from home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities, and comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facilities.
