Gordon Feinblatt LLC is pleased to announce that Robert A. Gaumont has joined the Firm as a Member in the Firm's Litigation and Financial Services Practice Groups.  Mr. Gaumont is an experienced trial lawyer with an emphasis on consumer financial services litigation.  He has litigated individual and class claims involving lender liability, including cases related to the Maryland Mortgage Fraud Protection Act, the Truth In Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and other federal and state statutes impacting the financial services industry.

Bob also is experienced in litigating a wide array of business competition claims, including shareholder disputes, restrictive covenants, unfair competition claims, trade secret, and employment disputes. He has served as first chair trial counsel in jury and non-jury cases and has extensive experience with many types of alternative dispute resolution.  He has briefed and argued motions related to class certification concerning a variety of industries.

Bob serves as a member of the panel of criminal defense attorneys who represent defendants in United States District Court for the District of Maryland, pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act.  He previously served as a prosecutor in the Baltimore City States Attorney's Office.

Bob received his J.D. with honors from The University of Maryland School of Law and his B.A. from The Catholic University of America. He is admitted to practice in Maryland.
