Colleen O'Connor Collins, Associate

Colleen is an Associate in the Real Estate and Energy & Environmental law practice groups, leveraging her diverse background in renewable energy, real estate, and financial transactions. With a background as a PV designer for multiple solar companies, Colleen brings a wealth of practical experience to her role, having contributed significantly to numerous solar projects. Her hands-on involvement has provided her with a deep understanding of the intricacies of renewable energy development.

In addition to her work in the solar industry, Colleen's dedication to the legal profession is evident through her role as a teaching assistant at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey Law School. 

Colleen's previous engagement in venture capital adds another layer to her practice. Through close collaboration with founders and companies, she gained insights into business strategy, negotiation, and partnership development. This background uniquely positions her to offer innovative solutions and foster strategic relationships within the EMERGE group.

Colleen earned a JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, while dually earning an MBA from Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business. Her understanding of financial transactions and business strategy is deep. 

Additionally, her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art underscores her creativity and interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving.
