Megan T. Sunderland, Associate
Megan is an Associate in the firm’s Trusts and Estates practice group where she represents clients in estate planning and estate administration matters.
Megan has drafted a variety of estate planning documents and advised clients regarding estate and gift taxes at both federal and state levels. She also has experience guiding clients through the probate and estate administration processes and preparing federal and state estate tax returns.
As a member of Maryland Legal Aid’s Equal Justice Associates program, Megan engages in pro bono service to low-income Marylanders.
Prior to practicing law, Megan served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Nancy M. Purpura of the Baltimore County Circuit Court and a judicial extern to the Hon. Alexander Wright, Jr. of the Appellate Court of Maryland.
Megan graduated from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2020 and was granted the William P. Cunningham Award for her exceptional achievements and service to the school. During law school, Megan represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Maryland Comptroller in federal and state income tax matters. Megan was also an active member and the Operations Chair of the law school’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Team.
