Gordon Feinblatt Renames Family Law Practice After Notable Practitioner
Baltimore, Maryland -- To honor the legacy of Sheila K. Sachs, the law firm of Gordon Feinblatt LLC is pleased to announce the renaming of its Family Law Practice to the Sheila Sachs Family Law Group.
The Firm’s family law practice was originally led by Sheila, a pioneer in the field of family law and a pioneer for women lawyers. Her legacy lives on with all of the lawyers of Gordon Feinblatt, especially with the members of the Sheila Sachs Family Law Group. The group handles family law matters and provides advice as it relates to divorce, custody, alimony, property settlements and other areas of family law. Additionally, the team has extensive experience in financial analysis associated with family law matters and its members are experienced litigators, negotiators, mediators and collaborative law practitioners.
The Sheila Sachs Family Law Group is comprised of an extraordinary team of lawyers who are among the State’s leading practitioners in family law. Today, Carol Ghingher Cooper, F. Kirk Kolodner and Jerrold A. Thrope, supported by several paralegals work to resolve personal and financial issues associated with separation and divorce. "Sheila was such an integral part of Gordon Feinblatt's history, we felt it was important and appropriate to memorialize Sheila in a meaningful and long-lasting way," said Barry F. Rosen, Chairman and CEO. Sheila joined Gordon Feinblatt in 1977 and was among the first women to become a partner at the Firm. She actively practiced law at Gordon Feinblatt until her passing in April 2019.
